Eyebrows are for sure one of the latest crazes. Historically, a bold dark eyebrow comes and goes with the times, but with people like Cara Delevigne and Lilly Collins gracing the cover of our magazines, people are going crazy for a stand out brow. At first, it was a tough bandwagon to jump on with my light eyebrows but with the proper amount of research I found the foolproof ways to hop on the eyebrow train!
Benefit Gimmebrow– This is currently my first choice on the list. It comes in two shades, one for blondes and one for brunettes. If you have a super dark brow, it might not be dark enough but if you’re on the lighter end of the spectrum, it should be perfect. According to Benefit, the spoolie brush grabs onto the fibers on your hairs and fills in the patchy spots. The wand resembles a mascara brush but it is cone shaped and much smaller to go with the shape of the eyebrow. Even if you overdo it with the brush, all you need to do is blend and it’s basically foolproof. Benefit seems to always be ahead of the crowd with their innovative new products, and this product further proves it!
Maybelline expert wear brow and eye pencil– My Co-worker turned me onto this pencil and I haven’t looked back since. It comes 2 in a packet for about 4 dollars which is amazing, especially considering how great the product works and that i’m constantly losing small things like pencils. I am NOT and I repeat NOT an eyebrow pencil person. I tend to get those crazy lines and dark eyebrows that make me look, well, frightening. With this pencil, none of that. I hardly ever have to sharpen it (I know sharpening can be a big turn off for some consumers) and it goes on flawlessly. It almost looks like a lead pencil to me, so I can tell the color is light enough to go with my skin tone. Definitely not something I would have picked up on my own, but I am glad I found it!
Mac Brow Set– This collection is new to Mac. I guess they saw the eyebrow trend was taking over and couldn’t resist jumping on it. It reminds me alot of the gimmebrow with the same mascara wand but a different formula and the wand is slightly larger. It also has more color options for those of you who don’t find a perfect match in either of Benefits 2 shades. They also have a clear one if you’re into that just to tame your brows. I personally use the “girl boy” which is described as a fawn blonde and I love it. It’s a slightly ashy color but it looks so natural on my face. Give it a try at your local Mac counter and let me know what you think since there’s currently not nearly enough reviews online!
